Our class is perfect for those with limited experience. Our specialty is working with new gun owners!
Your training begins promptly at 9:00 AM in our Westland classroom. Coffee, tea,
and water are available throughout the day, and you’ll receive multiple breaks,
including time for lunch.
The morning starts with a brief introduction, followed by foundational firearms
safety and defensive-use instruction.
These classroom segments focus on safe gun handling, grip, stance, trigger control,
sight alignment, and correction of common shooting mistakes.
Before going to the live-fire range, students train on our in-class virtual shooting range.
This guided session allows you to practice core shooting fundamentals in a safe,
controlled environment before using live ammunition.
We use virtual training first because it:
- Builds confidence before live fire
- Reduces anxiety for first-time shooters
- Reinforces fundamentals without recoil or noise
- Allows instructors to correct mistakes in real time
After virtual training, the class travels to The Firing Line to complete the live-fire qualification by
shooting 50 rounds. Once finished, students receive a lunch break before returning to the classroom.
The afternoon session covers:
- Defensive mindset and personal safety
- How to avoid legal trouble after a self-defense incident
- Michigan CPL laws and pistol-free zones
- Police encounters while carrying
- Step-by-step CPL application instructions
By the end of the day, you’ll receive your Certificate of Completion and know exactly how to apply for your Michigan CPL.

This is the US Concealed Carry Association Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class, which is recognized by the State of Michigan for the CPL license. This is an 8 hour course including 3 hours of range time.
